Your car … freedom on wheels?

yellow-carIf your house is your biggest purchase, then your next biggest purchase is likely to be your car …

… but, you aren’t most people!

I assure you – that through the course of this experiment, if you choose to participate actively along with our 7MITs – you will make MUCH bigger purchases by way of businesses/investments/RE/etc.

So, to put this all in perspective, think about your car:

BTW: 7million7year’s own car – the Maserati in the pictures – has been sold (or, so the dealer has assured me) … I think I will break-even on my purchase price due to a number of conflicting factors:

– I paid cash 🙂

– I bought the car 6 months old (and, only 1,700 miles on the clock) for a $35k discount off new 🙂

– I am selling the car in a recession with a 8% dealer’s ‘consignment commission’ 🙁

– I am transacting in FOREX currency 🙂

Now, I’ll just have to be content with the new 7m7y Mobile …

I’m sure that M3 is gorgeous Adrian, it’s been a dream car of mine along with the M5 and M6 for quite some time. I’m sure it will keep you satisfied for a little bit!

Very nice choice, what options did you get?

The new one is pretty, but I thought the first picture was of a yellow VW beetle!! LOL – there is definitely a rule-of-thumb that you lose a lot of money when you drive off the lot with a new vehicle. Then again, unless the original owner broke it in properly, you could be buying a lot of problems. I’ve seen “dealer owned” cars that were taken for cross-country family trips and never broken in….

So, what do you use this new vehicle for? Do you have one that carries the whole family, the dog, and the groceries, too?

@ Diane – LOL, that’s my wife’s Lexus Hybrid SUV … she’s filled the tank once since we picked it up at Xmas, and I’m already half-way through my 3rd tank.

Still preferred my little Maserati … sigh ….

M3, Beautiful! Why the change?

@ Ryan – LHD v RHD 🙂

@Adrian – I just transitioned from LHD to RHD and back to LHD in the last 2-3 weeks. We actually have LHD cars in the RHD country I was at but it is very difficult when passing toll booths and parking booths, unless you have a passenger.

@ Mark – That’s why, in the end, I decided to sell ‘the little Italian sports car’ rather than shipping it … it’s a bitch for overtaking as well 🙂
