Okay, my choice to live in a small trailer didn’t go over very well. I remember my friends’ reaction, “You’ve GOT to be kidding!”
I remember the look of mild horror on my parents’ faces when they came to visit.
But, I had to do something. I was living in a shared rental with a bunch of party-types and was feeling trapped. My $16,000/year salary made even the cheapest real estate too expensive. So, I bought the tiny vintage mobile home.
The space rent was $75 and utilities were super cheap. This and a second job allowed me to save….”
